In an inspiring Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at combating malnutrition and fostering educational empowerment, Nouryon has partnered with The Akshaya Patra Foundation, a leading social impact organisation, operating as the world’s largest school meal program provider and implementation partner of the Government of India’s PM POSHAN Abhiyaan (formerly mid-day meal programme). This program ensures that children receive the essential nutrients needed for their physical and mental development, thereby creating a more healthy and conducive learning environment.

The Akshaya Patra Foundation serves over 2.25 million children in government schools across 78 locations in 16 states and 3 union territories with fresh, nutritious meals every school day. In 2025, Nouryon committed to sponsor mid-day meals for 6,000 children over the next three years, with the initiative spanning across the country, reaching schools in Dehradun in the north, Varanasi in the east, Silvassa in the west, Bengaluru in the south, and Ahmedabad in the central-west region, ensuring comprehensive coverage and support for underprivileged students nationwide.

"This initiative is a testament to Nouryon's global commitment to fostering sustainable communities and investing in the future of young generations," said Tift Shepherd, Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at Nouryon. “By providing nutritious meals, we help improve school attendance and academic performance, contributing to a healthier and more educated world, fostering long-term societal growth."
