Applications
The application for Perkadox® 33 SP is the bleaching of flour, oil, whey & cheese products. The free-flowing nature of the product allows for accurate dosing and thorough distribution in the product with proper mixing. This gives rise to higher and more even bleaching efficiency through oxidation of colored matter. To obtain the maximum desired effect in flour, one part of BPO powder (pure) needs to be mixed with 30,000 parts of flour. This equates to one part of Perkadox® 33 SP (which is 33% active BPO) to 10,000 parts of flour. Thorough mixing is essential for maximum effect to occur after two days. Use in the USA is regulated by the FDA under the CFR - Code of Federal Regulations Title 21 and should be referenced to insure compliance.
