At Nouryon, our global team of Changemakers takes positive action every day, to reach higher collectively and individually. We create innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers to answer society’s needs – today and in the future.

We are looking for a Financial Markets Manager who combines strong analytical skills with a strategic and commercial mindset to join our team of Changemakers. Does that sound like you?

About the job

As the Financial Markets Manager, you will play a key role to support the Treasury Financial Markets team in managing Nouryon’s financial risks. The scope is global. This is a technical, expertise-driven position in a dynamic corporate environment, where you will contribute to strategic and operational areas of Treasury.

In your future role as Financial Markets Manager

  • You will manage financial risks across FX, liquidity interest rate, counterparty, and commodity exposures within Nouryon’s established framework. This includes continuously improving risk management strategies and tools, leading FX risk processes to minimize currency exposure, and optimizing global (natural) hedging. You'll maintain and enhance decision-making platforms and data sets for in-depth analysis, conduct pre- and post-hedging evaluations, and refine strategies using risk-based metrics. Staying up to date with market developments and maintaining strong relationships with product specialists at our relationship banks will be key, along with a solid understanding of hedging documentation such as ISDAs.
  • In cash management, you’ll oversee global liquidity across multiple currencies, including FX swaps and arbitrage between cash pools and bank accounts. You’ll ensure the business has sufficient cash to operate. Maintain short-term cash flow forecasts to support liquidity investment decisions. Execute investments in term deposits and money market funds. You’ll also contribute to refine tools for monthly and 13-week cash flow forecasting for senior management.
  • On the corporate finance side, you’ll support management in sustaining an effective capital structure, with a focus on debt structuring. You have a solid understanding of loan documentation and covenants. It is your responsibility to maintain rating models, perform scenario analyses, and enhance financial models such as WACC. Part of the role is that you’ll help manage relationships with banks and credit rating agencies.
  • Finally, you’ll provide broad support to the Financial Markets and Treasury team. This includes delivering analytical and decision-making support across treasury topics, contributing to monthly reporting for stakeholders such as the CFO, and collaborating with the wider Treasury and Finance teams. You’ll monitor regulatory and financial market developments, initiate and support process and system improvement, and ensure access to high-quality banking products and services.

We believe you bring

  • A solid understanding of financial risk management products, including FX, interest, counterparty, and commodities.
  • Strong grasp of financial markets and treasury processes, with hands-on experience in trade execution.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, modelling, and advising senior management.
  • Familiarity with standard financial documentation such as ISDAs and debt agreements.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles relevant to financial risk management.
  • A relevant university degree (e.g. Master’s in Economics, Finance, or Business Administration), combined with strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • A genuine interest in IT applications and data analytics tools to enhance analysis and automate processes.

Great if you have

  • Treasury front office experience within a multinational company.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP Treasury, including end-to-end treasury processes and in-house bank systems.

We believe you are

  • A collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset.
  • An effective, transparent and careful communicator who works in a disciplined, structured way.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Proactive and adaptable to change, with high integrity and independence.

We offer you

  • An employment contract for an indefinite period.
  • A competitive gross annual salary, including holiday allowance, based on your knowledge and experience.
  • 25 vacation days + 10 additional leave days based on a full-time position.
  • A variable bonus (Short Term Incentive).
  • An excellent pension plan with a strong contribution rate, most of which is paid by Nouryon. Our plan is transparent and easy to understand, with additional coverage for higher income levels and financial protection for your family.
  • LifeCheck Employee Assistance Program: free and fully confidential access to professional support for wellbeing, mental resilience, and balance – for you and your family.
  • Bright, modern offices with excellent public transport connections.
  • A welcoming, international team and a positive, enjoyable work environment where you can thrive.
  • An attractive bike plan that helps you commute in a smart, sustainable, and healthy way.
