About the job

 

The Operational Excellence Team Lead plays a pivotal role in advancing Nouryon's commitment to operational excellence. This position is responsible for leading, deploying, and executing Operational Excellence activities across Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Operations and Supply Chain Management, with a primary focus on manufacturing sites. The Team Lead is instrumental in supporting and coaching Operational Excellence Managers, aligning support needs with Site Leadership teams, coach our Continuous Improvement Managers on the sitesand occasionally support other functional teams to enhance their performance.

 

 

In your future role as Operational Excellence Team Lead you will

 

 

  • Act as a leader for OpEx Managers, offering ongoing coaching, support, and development to foster a high-performing team.

 

  • Drive and deliver Operational Excellence programs and initiatives within ISC, occasionally extending to Business or other functions to ensure comprehensive execution.

 

  • Identifies improvement opportunities, facilitates execution, and ensures effective implementation within sites and functions.

 

  • Concentrate on enhancing regional performance in key areas, providing coaching and follow-up on improvement efforts.

 

  • Serve as a technical expert in Lean Six Sigma (L6S) and Nouryon ISC processes, tools, and systems, collaborating with other OpEx Leads and Managers.

 

  • Build teamwork through engagement, aligning team members with ISC and Company vision and values for unified performance delivery.

 

  • Provide initial training to OpEx Managers and site CIMs, extending training as needed throughout the organization to promote skill development. Assist in the development and deployment of the Lean Six Sigma (L6S) program and helps provide visibility of the program across Nouryon

 

  • To be effective in the role spending time on our sites (Gemba) is required. Travel on average 30% with occasional peaks up to 50%.

 

We believe you bring

 

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably from the chemical Engineering field
  • Great (Change-)leadership experience, encourage innovation
  • Previous Continuous Improvement experience in the process industry
  • Project Management Proficiency: Strong skills in managing projects, with a proven ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization (English and Swedish)
     

Great if you have

 

  • Proven Lean experience or certified L6S Black Belt or equivalent experience to a L6S Master Black Belt.
