About the job 

In this exciting role as EKA Engineering Manager, you will lead our customer facing engineering project department using strong commercial judgement, a solid safety mindset, and hands on project experience delivering solutions to our customers globally. You will build and maintain strong technical and business networks across global markets, while acting as an inspiring and strategic leader who develops talent, builds high performing teams with clear accountability, and thrives in a global, multicultural, and cross functional environment by balancing long term objectives with day to day execution.


In your future role as EKA Engineering Manager you will;

  • Lead and manage the customer facing engineering organization within Renewable Fibers, covering all project phases such as study, basic engineering, pre‑project and execution.
  • Drive efficient global execution of chlorine dioxide plant projects and related after‑sales activities to support profitability and product sales growth
  • Hold overall responsibility for the global Eka Engineering organization, including people leadership, capability development, and building a team for the future 
  • Lead and expand global sales and marketing of spare parts and technical services
  • As Renewable Fibers representative in chlorine dioxide projects, interact with Nouryon's internal asset management organization to define framework for CAPEX project execution. 
  • Maintain strong technical expertise in chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) processes and plant technology
  • Ensure high‑quality service and support and establish robust project structures, including reporting, cost control, and governance
  • Contribute as a member of the Renewable Fibers R&D, Technology & Eka Engineering leadership team
  • Build and leverage a strong global network, collaborating closely with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and external partners

  • Extensive experience in industrial plant engineering, chemical process technology, or related industries.
  • Proven track record in global project management, CAPEX execution, and sales engineering.
  • Experience leading international teams and managing multidisciplinary engineering organizations.
  • Strong commercial understanding, with experience reviewing and approving technical and cost inputs for proposals

We offer you 

As Manager, Eka Engineering, you will take on a senior global leadership role combining engineering, project execution, and commercial accountability within Renewable Fibers. You will lead a highly engaged, experienced, and professional international team, while set direction and developing the organization for future needs. The role includes full responsibility overseeing engineering delivery and execution of complex CAPEX projects for our customers, particularly within chlorine dioxide, hydrogen peroxide, and related technologies. You will oversee projects from early engineering through execution, ensuring quality, safety, delivery, and profitability.

You will work closely with commercial teams, supporting sales, approving technical and cost inputs, and shaping global strategies for plant, equipment, spare parts, and service sales. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy while actively developing people, capabilities, and ways of working. The role is highly international and cross functional, offering a mix of strategic leadership and hands on execution in a safety  and quality driven environment.
