About the job:

 

Pro-actively manage the domestic delivery activities within Nouryon JP and in close cooperation with the internal stakeholders while staying well-aligned with the corporate requirements.

 

In your future role as a “Logistics Specialist” you will:

 

  • Perform all transportation planning, executing, and monitoring including reporting and inbound and outbound documentation for domestic shipments according to defined processes. 40%
  • Maintain the domestic shipping process, ensuring compliance with Nouryon policies and procedures and ultimately ensure that the compliance program for the company is supported. 20%
  • Operational excellence driven, setup SOPs for new business bring in, and existed SOPs improvement. 10%
  • 4. Manage warehouse/carriers’ performance KPIs to achieve target. 10%
  • Enhance the internal stakeholders; (CS/Planning/IMPEX) engagement and development. 10%
  • Comply with compliance 10%
  • Execute domestic transportation planning activities, including capacity planning, shipment routing, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate transportation bookings with external warehouses and domestic transportation carriers to support daily logistics operations.
  • Prepare, review, and manage shipping and customs documentation in collaboration with site logistics to ensure accurate and timely shipment execution.
  • Review shipment requests, coordinate execution with warehouse operators, and collect required documentation.
  • Monitor shipments on a daily basis and respond promptly to shipment exceptions, delays, and delivery issues.
  • Track logistics KPIs and cost performance related to logistics providers, customers, and internal operations, and report results as required.
  • Identify and address inconsistencies or deviations in shipment requests and documentation in coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Review freight invoices and reimbursement requests, and support payment and reconciliation processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including logistics process improvements and cost optimization activities.
  • Prepare routine logistics performance reports for review by the Logistics Team Lead.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with logistics providers and relevant government agencies in support of day‑to‑day operations.
  • Analyse service failures and support corrective actions under the guidance of the Logistics Team Lead (Domestic).
  • Support logistics process improvement initiatives as directed by the Team Lead.
  • Demonstrate and adhere to Nouryon Values, ensuring compliance with the Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Support daily operations of third‑party external warehouses.
  • Assist in training and onboarding activities for contractors, subcontractors, transporters, and stock point personnel.
  • Support and promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management practices within daily logistics operations.
  • Perform other related duties in domestic logistics and inventory management as required by the company.

 

We believe you bring:

 

  • Bachelor ’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or other relevant discipline preferred.
  • 3~5 years’ experience in logistics / supply chain. Experience with chemical companies is preferred .
  • Domain expertise and business acumen
  • Process and project management
  • Supplier management and supply network optimization
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in logistics / supply chain. Experience with chemical companies is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in performing logistics activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and quickly develop a solution.
  • Experience with warehouse and domestic transportation carrier relationship management and performance evaluations
  • Ability to use data to support decision making and develop solutions to present to leaders.
  • Ability to support process improvement initiatives while balancing daily responsibilities.
  • Able to work with some supervision.
  • Strong working knowledge and history of using computers and programs specific to logistics (SAP, TMS, WMS) and to general business management (MS Excel, Word).
  • Fluent in English
  • Customer focused
  • Be able to manage conflicting business interests, understand and be able to establish common ground in organizational barriers.
  • Ability to perform, understand and communicate detailed information analysis and evaluation
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to JP Inland Manager
