About the Job:
The International Commerce Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of our international trade operations at our Los Reyes plant. This position serves as a key link between internal teams and external partners, helping maintain regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and high service standards across all import and export activities. The role requires strong ownership, sound judgment in customs and trade matters, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy, coordination, and proactive communication are essential to business continuity.
Coordinate and monitor international shipments (Ocean, Land & Air)
Ensure all logistics activities align with planning objectives and optimal cost targets
Plan, execute, and track shipments to meet customer service expectations
Review and submit customs documentation through VUCEM (value manifest and commercial documents) in compliance with RLA Art. 81
Partner closely with Production, Sales, Logistics, Customs Brokers, and Logistics Service Providers
Manage customs clearance processes efficiently and accurately
Track & trace shipments and ensure on-time delivery
Ensure timely document flow to customers and brokers for customs purposes
Generate accurate and timely invoices aligned with export processes
Maintain accurate data entry in operating systems (SAP, CRM, etc.)
Use process monitors and workflows daily to drive efficiency
Handle hazardous materials logistics requirements (e.g., Organic Peroxides, PCL3, NaCN)
Independently resolve issues with stakeholders, especially Customs Brokers
Drive continuous improvement within customs clearance operations
Demonstrate ambition and willingness to grow within the organization
Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, International Commerce, Logistics, or related field
3–5 years of experience in import/export processes and trade regulations (Ocean & Land Freight required)
Full bilingual proficiency (Spanish & English) with excellent written and verbal communication skills — essential for collaboration with international teams and global stakeholders
Availability to work fully on-site at our Los Reyes plant 5 days/week:

Strong knowledge of hazardous materials logistics (Organic Peroxides, PCL3, NaCN, etc.)
Solid understanding of international trade compliance (IMMEX – RT, A1 & Virtual Pediments, FDA, International & Customs Laws)
Strong computer skills (SAP ERP, CRM systems, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and word processing tools)
Ability to work cross-functionally and thrive in culturally diverse environments
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the International Commerce Leader in Los Reyes, MX
