Are you ready to lead a strategic procurement category, shape sourcing strategy across volatile raw material markets, and develop a high-performing regional team? Are you commercially minded, analytical, and looking to take the next step in Procurement? Then you might be the new Regional Procurement Manager at Nouryon.
About the job
Raw material markets are changing and evolving rapidly, bringing significant challenges and exciting opportunities. This is a highly strategic role: your central challenge is to secure the best possible position for Nouryon in these markets while contributing directly to the execution of our business strategy.
You will lead a team of 4–6 PR Category Managers (direct reports) to secure commercial excellence across the region, drive performance improvements through the supply chain, and ensure all procurement deliverables within projects are delivered on time and to a high standard. In parallel, you will act as the dedicated procurement Business Partner to the Renewable Fibers business, translating their priorities into aligned sourcing plans that support growth and profitability.
In your future role as Regional Procurement Manager you will
- Own the key strategic categories for Nouryon categories – developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing key supplier relationships, and securing competitive, resilient supply positions.
- Act as the procurement Business Partner to the Renewable Fibers business, agreeing cost targets, aligning procurement activity with Business Line priorities, and ensuring strong communication and collaboration with the Business Unit and other procurement regions.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of 4–6 PR Category Managers – setting challenging objectives and creating opportunities for learning, development and personal growth.
- Drive the organization to identify improvement areas, explore cost reduction opportunities, and embed a total cost of ownership approach internally and with external suppliers.
- Deploy the category management organization with the relevant tools, metrics and follow-up to establish an efficient supplier management process in collaboration with other procurement regions.
- Work actively with key stakeholders across Business Lines and within manufacturing, engineering, finance and other functions to build alignment around targets and shape common execution plans that support business growth and profitability improvement.
- Manage the overall budget for the category scope and develop the annual plan with key milestones, activities and target settings.
- Represent Nouryon both internally and externally, building and maintaining a network of business contacts in support of organizational objectives, and conducting business in a responsible and ethical manner.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for products and services in line with the Global Procurement strategy.
We believe you bring
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or Science.
- At least 10 years of working experience in procurement, of which 5+ years with raw materials.
- Experience in the petrochemical industry is highly valued and preferred. Strong candidates from adjacent industries are also encouraged to apply.
- A proven ability to think and operate strategically in volatile, fast-moving markets.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire people internally and externally.
