About the job 

As a (Senior) Toxicologist you perform mainly human health hazard and risk assessments for substance registrations; study monitoring of hazard studies is part of this.

 

In your future role as (Senior) Toxicologist you will

  • Contribute with toxicological expertise in product safety and compliance work related to substance registrations, mainly for EU REACH
  • Commission and validate toxicity studies to be used for human hazard assessments
  • Act as Study Monitor for guideline studies performed in GLP compliant contract research laboratories
  • Compile scientifically based (cost-effective) testing strategies, including grouping and read across
  • Perform human health hazard and risk assessments
  • Advise on the toxicological profile of a substance or product to RD&I and business
  • Communicate complex toxicological matters simply to business
  • Take part in consortia meetings and Cefic networks and/or issue teams

 

We believe you bring

  • 5 to 10 years working experience in regulatory toxicology in the chemical industry 
  • Experience in hazard and risk assessments for regulatory purposes
  • Knowledge of (alternative) test methods used in toxicology including higher tier testing
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and their potential influence on business
  • A business‑ and solution‑oriented mindset, with the ability to think beyond standard protocols
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and act with integrity
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and changing work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong networking skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively both internally and externally
