About the job

 

In this exciting role as Product Director Consumer Goods & Packaging you will drive profitability and growth for the Expancel® expandable microspheres product line with full P&L responsibility globally and coordinate the supply of products from other product lines that are brought to the market by the Consumer Goods & Packaging team.

You are leading and developing  a multifunctional senior team, are a member of the Business Line Leadership Team where you play a significant role in delivering customer-focused solutions and market success.To succeed in this role you are managing a hi level of complexity in a high paced environment through close collaboration with supply chain, sales, marketing, finance, and R&D.

 

In your future role as Product Director Consumer Goods & Packaging

you will

  

  • Own P&L and EBITDA, define and implement product and investment strategy, set floor prices, manage allocations, and optimize cost structure based on market and competitor analysis.

 

  • Ensure reliable supply, optimize inventory and capacity, collaborate with supply chain and commercial teams, and support projects for new capabilities and cost optimization.

 

  • Coordinate product inflow across segments, align offerings, and act as the key interface between product lines and commercial teams.

 

  • Monitor market trends and competition, partner with R&D on product development, and identify new customer needs.

 

  • Lead and develop the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer focus.

 

  • Drive strategic and tactical initiatives, influence internally to secure business interests, and manage negotiations with strong financial acumen.

 

We believe you bring

  

  • Extensive relevant experience in Commercial, Marketing from an manufacturing industry ideally also Supply Chain, or Finance within a B2B or specialty chemicals environment
  • Strong financial and business acumen with a proven track record of P&L ownership and EBITDA maximization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Business; MBA or Master’s degree
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required
