Storeroom Operator

In your future role as Storeroom Operator, you will

 

  • Manage daily MRP processes, including reviewing automatically generated item sheets.
  • Maintain and update the Stock Issue Log within the ERP system.
  • Create and release purchase requisitions, place orders, and follow up on delivery dates.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable on VIM by verifying goods receipts and following up on outstanding vendor invoices.
  • Partner with the purchasing agent to track ordered items, run reports on aging purchase orders, follow up with vendors, correct order errors, and locate suppliers as needed.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve incorrect purchase orders or merchandise discrepancies.
  • Process service entries for vendor-provided services (e.g., Grainger, Southwest Stainless, Ricoh).
  • Receive incoming shipments (UPS/FedEx), unload, unpack, and stock materials in the warehouse.
  • Enter goods receipts for all inbound shipments into the ERP system (SAP).
  • Reverse goods receipts when needed to resolve price discrepancies for Accounts Payable.
  • File and maintain documentation, including stock issue logs, daily MRP reports, material pick tickets, BOLs, packing lists, and vendor invoices.
  • Support warehouse counter operations, including issuing items to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with the monthly warehouse cycle count.
  • Update material master data (e.g., descriptions, locations) for new warehouse items transitioning into stock.
  • Conduct daily warehouse walk-throughs to monitor stock levels and adjust SAP records to ensure accurate inventory for ordering and reordering.
  • Issue harnesses as required.
  • Manage painted pipe inventory.

 

 

We believe you bring  

 

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), including stock issue logging, goods receipts, and reversing transactions is a plus
  • Ability to perform regular inventory checks, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate system data.
  • Experience managing specialized inventory categories (e.g., harnesses, painted pipe inventory).
  • Experience handling inbound logistics, including receiving, unpacking, and stocking materials.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, including issuing materials, maintaining documentation, and supporting cycle counts.

This is an onsite, permanent position on a full-time basis, based in LaPorte, Tx.
