Launching two new innovative products at the annual SEPAWA Congress and Exhibition, hosted in Berlin, Germany. The new innovations include Berol® Nexxt, a next-generation surfactant and multifunctional hydrotrope, and Dissolvine® GL Premium, the industry’s most concentrated GLDA-based chelating agent.

Nouryon announced the launch of Armocare® Aqua 12 surfactant at in-cosmetics Global in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This innovative product is a biodegradable hair conditioning agent with no quaternary ammonium compounds (non-quat) for high performing, hair care formulations. Armocare® Aqua 12 was recently certified to the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS standard at Nouryon’s manufacturing site in Itupeva, Brazil. This certification ensures full traceability of renewable feedstocks throughout the supply chain using the mass balance approach.

BeautyCreations™ is a revolutionary digital portal that enables personal care formulators to quickly and easily search through Nouryon’s vast repository of creative and innovative hair and skin care formulations. Launched at in-cosmetics Global in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Powered by Albert Invent, the BeautyCreations™ formulation discovery tool leverages AI to help formulators supercharge their beauty formulation development. Using natural language, formulators can describe their formulation requirements and desired consumer product claims to the BeautyCreations™ tool, which is trained specifically for personal care formulation chemistry.

Nouryon announced the launch of Demeon® ReNu100 propellant for aerosol applications at in-cosmetics Global in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This product features dimethyl ether (DME) with a natural origin index of 1 and is made from 100% biobased methanol according to the mass balance approach. Developed in response to consumer demand for premium low-carbon personal care products, Nouryon’s biobased Demeon® ReNu100 provides a high-performing propellant that reduces the carbon footprint by up to 100% compared to standard DME. This versatile ingredient can be used in various personal care applications including hair spray, antiperspirant and deodorant sprays, dry shampoos, mousse, and shave foams.

Nouryon (formerly AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals), Tata Steel and the Port of Amsterdam have joined together to study the feasibility of a large green hydrogen cluster in the Amsterdam region. The three parties consider green hydrogen as vital for reaching climate targets and building a more circular economy, for example by combining it with emissions from steel manufacture to make new products.

Nouryon today announced the launch of its new Innovation Center and expanded office footprint in Mumbai, India, nearly doubling the previous office space to accommodate its rapidly growing Global Service Center. The Innovation Center caters to key end markets including paints and coatings, agriculture, and home and personal care. Nouryon sales and global research and development teams will partner closely with customers to provide technical support. The expanded Mumbai office space now occupies 100,000 square feet and hosts approximately 325 employees with room to grow further.
