“Hairspray VOC Reductions and Formulation Solutions”

Earlier this year, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) proposed amendments to several Consumer Products Program regulations to help California attain federal ozone standards and reduce public exposure to air toxics. The amendments adopted meet CARB’s commitments to get additional reduction of volatile organic compound (VOCs) emissions for seven consumer product categories, including hair-care products. This webinar is designed to provide hairspray formulators with inspiration to create trendy, unique hairsprays that will meet the new VOC regulations. We will review the upcoming regulation proposals as they relate to personal care with a focus on hairspray. We will also discuss the technical challenges of VOC reduction faced by hairspray formulators and will offer formulation approaches to solving these challenges.
