REACH @ Nouryon
We actively maintain our REACH registrations and continuously implement other REACH developments to ensure continued compliance.
At Nouryon we continuously work to ensure that our products can be safely used, in line with REACH (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006), which aims to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals.
REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals and it established procedures for collecting and assessing information on the properties and hazards of substances.
One of the main steps in REACH is the registration of all substances imported/manufactured above 1 ton in the EU; Nouryon has submitted 510 registration dossiers. Nouryon is maintaining its REACH registrations and continuously implementing other REACH developments to ensure continued compliance.
In 2019, Nouryon joined CEFIC’s REACH Action Plan for Review / Improvement of Registration Dossiers and we intend in our own discretion and in line with REACH requirements to take steps to review the quality of our REACH registration dossiers and provide further information, where appropriate.
As the UK withdrew from EU REACH and is setting up its own regulatory scheme for the management of chemicals. Meanwhile we have appointed an OR to submit Downstream User Import Notifications (DUINs) pursuant to Article 127E UK REACH. Be aware that benefiting from a DUIN is only valid if the importer imported the relevant substance in the years 2019 and 2020.
