Job Title: Quality Control Coordinator

Job Description:

Quality Statistics Engineer:

  • Manage the Site’s Quality Control Plan  
  • Improve the Quality Control and Production processes by using basic statistical tools to support the PQC team and Production in data-based decision making

Senior Laboratory Technician

  • Directs and prioritize the scheduled Quality Control activities to ensure tasks are performed. Manage out-of-spec validation procedure and escalate problems to production or other stakeholders.
  • Support other Nouryon functions such as Customer Service, Sales or Technology to resolve problems, continuous improvements and new product introductions (NPI)

General responsibilities:

  • Follow Site Augusta HSE&S policies, rules, procedures and actively participate in programs (e.g. BBS, process safety fundamentals, 5S).
    • Stop all unsafe work violating HSE-policy and HSE rules.
    • Complete assigned trainings.
    • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement efforts in Augusta
    • Support quality customer audit
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the PQC Manager

The Quality Statistics Engineer is responsible for:

    • Execution of process capability studies
    • Execution of Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies
    • Respond to deviating results in process capability and MSA
    • Drive performance through KPIs and develop and improve metrics continuously

The Senior Laboratory Technician is responsible for:

    • Manage the Site’s Quality Control Plan
    • Deliver results in adherence to Site and PQC group right first-time targets (including specifications for customers, raw materials and intermediates but not limited to)
    • Follow the out-of-spec validation procedure and escalating problems to production/other stakeholders • Facilitate and participate in Root-cause problem solving and investigations
    • Continuously improve QC processes to implement better laboratory operations
    • Ensure that measurement system is capable in terms of accuracy, precision, and stability
    • Ensure correct and updated MES system quality documentation (e.g. specifications for raw material, in process, finished goods)
    • Ensure and evaluate quality of raw materials to requirements and specifications and evaluate suppliers • Own Quality related SOPs


    • 3-5 years of analytical experience related to laboratory instrumentation is required.
    • Experience from leading and/or participation in projects
    • Experience with Six Sigma Methodology

Education: Chemistry degree or science related field.
