Maintenance I&E Supervisor


Key Objectives

    • Manage maintenance activities in a safe and cost-effective manner
    • Ensure best practice skills and capability development within the craft
    • Continuously drive and execute maintenance process improvements to increase overall maintenance effectiveness and efficiency
    • Drive continuous improvement of reliability and continuous reduction of maintenance cost by systematic improvement of maintenance policies and equipment/components
    • Ensure that asset integrity standards by Nouryon and authorities are consistently met by driving the maintenance strategy process and by monitoring PM execution
    • Ensure the reliability and effectiveness of the distributed control system
    • Provide technical I&E engineering support for plant operations and capital projects

Key Responsibilities

    • Ensuring appropriate skill and capability mix of technicians across the function
    • Coaching and developing maintenance personnel, holding them accountable for delivery of results and supporting mutually agreed development needs
    • Overseeing maintenance supervisors and crews in the execution of maintenance activities, ensuring contractors are meeting defined SLAs and KPIs, and managing any co-employment issues
    • Allocating work orders to appropriate technicians; ensuring balance in skill development/maintenance and efficiency
    • Managing daily maintenance execution in compliance with schedule; monitoring and updating daily schedule: ensuring technicians are allocated planned tasks if schedule load gaps develop.
    • Managing execution of maintenance reliability projects
    • Ensure creation and maintenance of maintenance SWSs (standard work sheets) as input to job plans
    • Driving the process to establish equipment criticality; along the dimensions of rules and regulations, AN standards and guidelines, OEE losses, quality impact and cost to repair.
    • Driving the process of establishing required degree of reliability as part of the maintenance strategy process
    • Establish equipment maintenance strategies, satisfying the required degree of reliability, as part of the maintenance reliability management process
    • Ensuring maintenance policies are clearly described, documented, and translated into preventive maintenance work orders where applicable.
    • Monitoring proper and timely execution of these PM activities.
    • Drive Root Cause Problem Solving, translating them into improvements in improved maintenance practices
    • Supporting Reliability engineer in systematically improving maintenance policies
    • Monitoring changes in rules and regulations and Nouryon standards that may impact Equipment Maintenance strategies and take corrective action accordingly
    • Executing assigned investigations and /or action items related to site events and MOC’s
    • Lead electrical safety policies and improvements
    • Maintain radiation safety program as Site Radiation Safety Officer (RSO)
    • Ensure proper maintenance and safety is upheld for site power distribution equipment


    • Delivery of maintenance jobs effectively and efficiently
    • Maintenance I&E schedule compliance
    • Delivering on KPIs including safety metrics and preventive/predictive maintenance
    • On-time and on-budget delivery of I&E aspects of projects
    • Driving the number of equipment where maintenance strategy is undefined to zero.
    • Maintenance strategies are aligned with Rules and Regulations and Nouryon standards
    • Maintenance strategies are aligned with Business Goals
    • Maintenance strategies are documented and translated into PM orders in CMMS


    • BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
    • 7+ years of I&E engineering experience, with at least 5 in maintenance organizations
    • Ability to troubleshoot, specify and design control system and instrumentation
    • Ability to troubleshoot, specify, and design electrical power systems up to and including 480V
    • Basic understanding of 12.47kV – 138kV maintenance and design
    • Basic understanding of radiation safety as it pertains to fixed gauges
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication in English
    • Working knowledge of applicable codes such as NFPA 70
    • Ability to safely work in plant environment
