Solution Architect Plant Maintenance
For the Information Management (IM) function, we are looking for a Solution Architect to strengthen our IM Projects team. As Solution Architect you have functional and technical management skills in the field of Plant Maintenance with experience in a global environment.
Your challenges
As Solution Architect you work close with the IM function resources. As well as stakeholders in the company and with externals. Support daily Change Requests and Projects. You identify opportunities and support demand in ideation phase to implementation. You will face different possible solutions to solve business needs. Fact based recommendation and presenting to relevant stakeholders will be crucial.
In your role you ensure quality and consistency with design for deployments. Ensure compliance with business and IM strategy, policy, and guidelines. Monitoring the market to gain knowledge and understanding of currently emerging technologies in own area of expertise. Keeping IT landscape of related applications up to date and push forward the IM strategy and roadmap.
Your responsibilities
- Reporting functionally into the IM projects Functional Information Manager.
- Translate business requirements into solutions and/or solution directions.
- Supports demand management. Working out the solution and detailed requirements.
- Ensure quality and consistency with design. Responsible for design decisions.
- Supports Testing and Training activities for Change Requests and Projects.
- Support new IT implementations coming from Merges & Acquisition or Divestments.
- Support go-live and hyper care of implementations.
- Support compliance to be prepared to become a public listed company on the Stock Exchange.
- Defines and communicates the roadmap for the applications in scope.
- Keeps IM documentation up to date for the business processes and applications in scope.
- Contributes to and initiates continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- Knowledge of SAP PM application. Preferably also knowledge of Prometheus software tools.
- Master / bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study.
- Background: Consulting or Maintenance business role (e.g. maintenance engineer).
- Ability to influence internal and external parties. Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Used to working in a global environment and familiar with regional specifics.
- 5 - 10 years of work experience in the IT sector.
- Broad knowledge and experience of architecture, technology platforms and business domains with relevant experience in the Integrated Supply Chain domain (Expertise area: Plant maintenance).
- Ability to comprehend the functions and capabilities of new trends and technologies, especially in the SAP ecosystem.
- Business process modelling and application architecture design (logical and physical) – frameworks (TOGAF), tools, technologies, methodologies.
- Ability to balance the long-term (or “big-picture”) and short-term implications
- Dedicated to reach and maintain high quality standards
- Nice additional to experiences would be:
- SAP MM/PTP processes, including Ariba and (spare parts) inventory management, as nice to have
- Exposure or background to engineering also nice to have
- Mobility
- Consultancy and advisory skills
- Full end to end SAP PM implementation
