The Nouryon Polymer Specialties business is the world's leading producer of organic peroxides, metal alkyls, and organometallic specialties. These are essential ingredients for the polymer industry. Your challenge as Researcher Polymer Specialties
In this role as Researcher Polymer Specialties, you will be doing R&D in Thermoset and/ or Polymer Composites and are responsible for the development of new (sustainable) products or applications thereof for the Thermoset or Polymer Composites market. 
In addition, you will participate in Field & Customer Service support and answer questions from customers, distributors, sales & marketing which you will translate into lab work if needed and communicate the outcome. The responsibilities in this role are: 

The responsibilities in this role are: 

  • Setup and performing your technical experiments, organizing and presenting results in R&D meetings, writing R&D reports, and delivering new sustainable products or technologies;
  • Build up and maintain knowhow on Thermoset Resins and Polymer Composites applications;
  • Deliver on customer service requests;
  • Providing training for customers/distributors and new hires in the sales and marketing organization.


Have you got what it takes?
To be eligible for this challenging position, you have a clear interest in Thermoset Resins or Polymer Composites and you bring a hands-on mentality to the lab. Furthermore, you have/ are

  • Bachelor or Master's degree, preferably in Chemistry/ Material Science/ Polymer Chemistry;
  • Preferably experience in Thermoset Resins or Polymer Composites or a related field of expertise;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers and sales & marketing;
  • Have project management skills (or interest in leading projects) and preferably some exposure to business development and customer relations;
  • Are flexible and pragmatic, result oriented, and a team player;
  • Communicate with all functional levels within the business;
  • Experience with reporting and presenting to different groups;
  • Good language skills, written and spoken in English.
