- Stand in as Site Manager in his/her absence.
- Set and achieve yearly production goals as part of the site/ business goals and in line with the site strategic posture.
- Develop long term and short term TIP (Tactical Improvement Plan) for production department and integrate into the year Site TIP, including department development & recruitment, productivity, quality, efficiency and HSE improvement.
- Ensure adherence to all site procedures, work instructions and other regulations and guidelines. Walk the talk.
- Inspire and guide others toward identifying and achieving vision and goals and to provide purpose and direction. Primary people leader. Driver of continuous improvement.
- Provide deeper understanding of the production process, and quality management aspects.
- Assists in customer complaint and non-conformance investigations.
- Leads 5S and continuous improvement opportunities in the plant
- Lead the team for the following:
- Ensure smooth and safe plant operation in the Singapore Site.
- To track the site’s Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), while staying on top of production schedule adherence.
- Manages the day-to-day shift’s process and operational activities at the Singapore Site, as well as liaise with Scheduler on site’s logistic.
- Liaises with the Scheduler to achieve production targets.
- Drives the troubleshooting of process and equipment problems in order to move production forward.
- Provides operational inputs on plant improvement projects and modifications.
- Works with Maintenance for identification of "bad actors".
- Set the reliability standard; ensure work requested with maintenance is value added and prioritized right.
- Adherence to budget and to production schedule (AUM) and BOM (PEM)
- Ensure proper execution of primary processes (OAM, AUM) and the foundations (performance management, 5S, SWS) in production.
- Maintenance schedule adherence by production (equipment available on time in full).
- Assist in site’s new product introduction and process optimization.
- Assist the process trainers for new Chemical Technician training.
- Assist BBS facilitator for any new employee training.
- Responsible for site’s waste management tracking/ reports (inventory tracking, "e-tracking", general waste reduction report and disposal to certified waste disposal companies)
- HSE:
- Be involved in a participative or leading role in site HSE&S efforts. This may include but not limited to involvements in LSR, BBS, SAQ, safety committee, incident investigation, ERT, safety inspections, internal/local audits, HIRA, hazard studies (HAZOP) and others as deemed necessary by the site management for the continual improvement of site HSE&S performance.
- Leads hazard recognition and safety improvement for the site.
- Executes HSE&S, Operational Eco Efficiency and other operational assignments as set by the Site Manager (e.g. as leader of IMS Management Programs or Project Manager).
- Lead the team to manage document and reports:
- SOP and batch sheet.
- Monthly Production Reports
- EPM reports (Environment and Energy) to corporate.
- Maintain recordkeeping for raw data for EPM reporting.
- Waste reduction report to NEA.
- E-submission to authority if required.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement opportunities for Quality Control in Advance Leading Performance System (ALPS).
- Assist in site’s effort to strive towards Operational Excellence through ALPS implementation.
- Works with Operations to identify Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvements and remove bottleneck in the process.
