Objective
Ensures safety of equipment before performing work. Leaves a clean and orderly work area after performing maintenance repairs, replacement or installation of equipment. Informs Production when equipment is ready to use. Reports anything unusual regarding equipment in the plant to Maintenance Supervisor in order to prevent any future breakdowns. Turns in completed and signed work orders to Maintenance Supervisor for his/her review.
Responsibilities
- Repairs, install and replaces all machinery and equipment.
- Performs pipe fitting work and plumbing work.
- Takes care of routine PM type maintenance such as lubricating of rotating machinery
- Does any other maintenance work necessary to keep the plant in good operating condition?
- Assists with electrical maintenance as required.
- Drives forklift to carry tools to and from job site only.
- Must be able to be certified in aerial platform and scissor lift
- HVAC and heavy refrigeration work will be required
- Use of all maintenance precision tools required
- Must be proficient in laser and reverse alignment methods
- Organizational skills and housekeeping a must
- Always promote and maintain a safe work environment
- Understand and help implement the site’s Operating Policy, and HSSE goals and objectives.
- Support and participate in on-going HSSE improvement activities and committees.
- Be aware of potential health, safety, security and environmental impacts in area of responsibility and the consequences if an upset occurs.
- Understand and implement any parts of the Battleground Environmental Compliance Plan and Waste Management Plan that apply to area of responsibility.
- Participate in the site’s on-going Pollution Prevention Process
- Understand and help implement the site’s Quality Policy, Quality goals and objectives, and the Quality Improvement Process (MTQ).
- Be fully aware of your specific quality assurance responsibilities.
- Be familiar with sitewide document control, internal quality audits, corrective action, non-conforming product and record keeping procedures.
- Be sure employees under supervision, if applicable, are aware of and are adequately trained in quality procedures.
Requirements
- Related technical training including MILLWRIGHT NCCER
- 5 years previous experience.in Petro- Chemical industry
- Leads in His/her Commitment to health, safety, environment, security, and quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Employee must be able to work in plant environments.
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Work at height
- Extremally cold environment (-20C)
- Hot environment (outside work in Texas)
- Lift min 50lbs periodically during work activity
