About the job

As Account Manager you will deliver sales according to budget and growth targets and provide accurate sales forecasts. You will identify business growth opportunities and are in direct contact with customers and distributors in the field, representing Nouryon in a professional manner. Together with the technical team and other functions you will serve the customer in the best way possible. You will contribute to the realization of the growth strategy.

 

In your future role as Account Manager you will

  • Assess and understand the market needs, development and trends including changes in the customer base, competition, cleaning applications, solutions and products in the French market
  • Develop, manage and ensure realization of sales for the assigned accounts predominately in, but possibly also outside the French market
  • Identify, assess and develop potential new accounts
  • Achieve annual sales results and business growth versus an annual plan from the established customer base and identified new accounts
  • Establish and build senior-level relationships with key decision makers and buyers
  • Understand and assess customers’ needs, business objectives, strategies and build compelling customer value propositions representing our portfolio
  • Serve as a lead contracts negotiator on commercial terms
  • Serve as the central resource for communications with the customer on new product developments in the Nouryon portfolio 

 

We believe you bring

  • A Bachelor or Master’s Chemistry, Engineering, Biology and/or BBA/MBA
  • At least 3 years working experience in a similar sales role within the manufacturing industry
  • Very strong experience in networking and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers
  • Full proficiency in English and French are a must.

 

  • Experience in the chemical industry, and specifically in or with the Cleaning / Detergent industry, is preferred. The portfolio of ingredients to sell for these industries ranges from surfactants, chelating agents, biocidal actives, polymers and more.

  • A gross basic annual salary including holiday allowance based on your knowledge and experience

Minimum basic annual salary €58.500 based on  French UIC coefficient 460.

 

Good to know

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, based in Amersfoort with a travel component of around 30-50%.
