Office Based Account Manager (OBAM)

In your future role as OBAM you will

  

Give service to existing accounts, prospecting new customers, grow customer base through addition of new customers (polymer and nonpolymeric applications) and you will provide market intelligence feedback to commercial management.

 

  • Grow business at existing accounts
  • Review, manage and improve pricing levels within guidelines set out by commercial management.
  • Apply tier service level charges where applicable.
  • Develop new accounts for future sales.
  • Exercise technical selling to the fullest by calling technical employees at accounts (manufacturing managers etc).
  • Development of own technical knowledge of product lines and product application is a key success factor in this respect.
  • Prospecting
  • Approach potential customers to check if there is a demand for BUPC products
  • Make value proposition and utilize resources within BUPC to convert the opportunity into business
  • Provide market intelligence feedback to commercial management on ·
  • Market environment
  • Potential new projects 
  • Manage relations with internal functions/departments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ownership of customer complaint (OFI) resolution, as appropriate.
  • Grow customer relationships to a magnitude such that they can be turned over to field account managers.
  • Establish alone or in concert with field account manager(s) an annual sales plan for the assigned business scope within the overall strategy set out by commercial management. Such sales plan should aim to protect existing business as well as developing new business.
  • Pre-planning and timely reporting of customer calls as appropriate using pre-defined templates.
  • Provide reliable sales forecast to ensure proper product availability planning.
  • Participate in regular margin management review meetings with commercial management
  • Meet Annual Sales Budget (Volume, Revenue, Contribution Margin) defined by commercial management
  • Days of sales outstanding should be within the annual target
  • Overdue receivables should not exceed target of total receivable amount
  • Sales forecasts in Arkieva should be accurate and updated regularly
  • Price Quotes (SCL’s) should be accurate and up to date.
  • Meet agreed number of call reports per year.
  • Grow customer base through addition of new customers (polymer and non-polymer applications). At least 5 new “leads” contacted per month.
  • Timely follow-up on samples sent to OBAM accounts

 

 

 

We believe you bring

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential.

  • Proven track record in sales or account management, preferably in the polymer industry.

  • Proficient in high-volume cold calling to generate leads and engage with clients.

  • Demonstrated passion for sales and client engagement.

  • Decent understanding of technical aspects related to polymer and specialty chemicals.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies to grow business and acquire new customers.

  • Effective management of pricing levels and application of tier service charges.

  • Proficiency in market analysis and providing valuable feedback to management.

  • Strong customer relationship management skills with a focus on satisfaction and complaint resolution.

  • Highly organized with effective planning and prioritization skills.

  • Results-oriented with the ability to meet sales targets and budget requirements.

  • Familiarity with sales forecasting tools and providing accurate forecasts.

  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.

 

We believe you have  Excellent communication skills; including listening, managing customer objections and prospecting.
