About your future department:

Regulation of chemicals used in different industrial and domestic applications requires thorough evaluation including their unambiguous identification and risk assessment for control of potential effect on health or environment. With this purpose, the physical & chemical properties of the chemicals, their environmental fate and (eco)toxicology behaviour must be fully understood. This evaluation is performed with the help of specific practical tests to generate the information required by the regulatory authorities.

Part of Nouryon’s Expert Capability Group – Measurement and Analytical Science (ECG-MAS), the Environmental Chemistry laboratory is specialized in performing environmental and physico-chemical tests according to international standard guidelines and under the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) quality system. Our knowledge on environmental and analytical chemistries ensures assessment of behaviour and properties of the chemicals under optimal conditions. Results from the environmental and physico-chemical testing and research find use in substance profiling including classification and labelling, registrations, notifications, risk assessments and contribute to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) production.
