About the job

In this exciting role as Personal Care Technical Service and Applications Scientist, you will drive innovation across hair and skin applications by leading and executing experiments, analyzing data, and transforming insights into next-step recommendations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop new formulations, and provide technical expertise that makes a real impact. In your future role as Personal Care Technical Service and Applications Scientist you will 

  • Lead, plan, execute and report experiments necessary to attain the objectives of the business independently.
  • Lead the incremental development of new products.
  • Interact with Synthesis, Analytical and marketing groups in developing new products and resolving customer concerns.
  • Maintain a laboratory notebook, prepare monthly project reports, conduct literature searches, and maintain application databases.
  • Execute complex experiments, analyze the data for accuracy, interpret the data, draw conclusions based on scientific standards and make recommendations on the next steps.
  • Provide technical support to the business via telephone, field, and lab including laboratory work, gathering information, and travel.
  • Lead medium and large size projects.
  • Maintain company safety standards and support company values.

This job requires 30% time traveling to our customers within Europe, Asia or US to some extent throuout the year.

We believe you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
  • Experience in personal care formulations; particularly emulsions for hair and skin preferred .
  • Experience in skin care hair care applications testing
  • Experience working with biopolymers in formulation.
  • Experience with natural formulating and knowledge of emollients and natural emulsifiers.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English.
