Production Supervisor

In your future role as Production Supervisor you will
- Be responsible for safety, operability, quality, rates, and yields
- Be responsible for supervision of hourly workforce including work assignments, OT, etc.
- Ensure appropriate allocation of resources for implementation of schedules / plans on shift – Production, Logistics, Safety and Training.
- Be responsible for the execution of the production schedule.
- Optimize day-to-day plant activities in line with the safety standards and reliability best practices.
- Be responsible for adherence to SOP’s, site policies, and all regulatory requirements.
- Be responsible for reporting and investigation incidents.
- Serve as the Emergency Response Incident Commander for Incidents.
- Be responsible for conduction of monthly emergency response drills
- Serve as primary contact for all external communication to complex neighbors during off hours and emergencies.
- Serve as Site Leader during off hours.
- Be responsible for qualification training of new operations and dissemination of training information to shift operators.
- Be responsible for input into the daily maintenance planning process and preparation for the maintenance activities.
- Be responsible for reviewing and verifying required paperwork.
- Initiate physical counts of raw material and finished products.
We believe you bring
- A minimum of 2 years’ operating or supervisory experience in a chemical or processing related field
- Working knowledge of computer operations, process control, and basic unit operation principles
- Ability to manage resources and coverage schedules to meet the business goals of the unit i.e. overtime, operating supplies, maintenance priorities, etc.
- Ability to lead shift activities to improve unit OEE
- Ability to delivery unit specific training
- Ability to motivate, lead and discipline employees
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot processes
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting a safe work environment
- Ability to make decisions on shift concerning safe operating and maintenance procedures
- Demonstrated strong communication skills for interacting with all levels of personnel (Sr. Management/operating techs)
- Ability to pass all required operator certification tests
