Senior Process Engineer

We are looking for an experienced process development engineer for our Äänekoski site to actively contribute to the planning and execution of investment and improvement projects for the production technologies within the Cellulose Derivatives business.

In your future role you will

• Lead investment and innovation projects with a significant impact on production and business performance, demonstrating your project management expertise

• Optimize process operation and design and guide the selection of process equipment in future projects

• Support plant organizations with your process technology expertise

• Act as process owner for the selected technology area

• Systematically promote the growth of technological competence within the team and the wider organization

• Report results both within and outside the technology team

We expect that

• You hold a university degree in chemical/process engineering

• You have at least five years of experience in process technology development

• You have experience in some of these areas of the process industry: utilizing data in process development, planning and execution of investment and improvement projects, process design or the effective use of simulation tools

• You possess excellent communication skills

• You work fluently in English, Finnish is an advantage

What we offer you The Cellulose Derivatives technology team operates at the interface between the CMC and EHEC business teams and the manufacturing sites. Our expertise is used to support decision-making in all major investments and in implementing technology innovations at the plants. We lead projects from early conceptual studies and assessments all the way to plant start-up. The team is looking for a broad

range of backgrounds in process engineering and development as well as chemistry. We are passionate about solving complex problems and driving changes that have a positive impact on production, business performance and sustainability.

This is a permanent, full-time position located in Äänekoski. You are expected to be willing to travel a few days per month to our production sites in Sweden, the Netherlands or China.
