About the job

As a Senior Global Learning & Development Expert, you'll be at the heart of Nouryon's global learning ecosystem — with real ownership of how it grows. You will ensure high‑quality governance of our learning platforms, support the delivery of global leadership programs, and drive operational excellence across our talent and development processes. Working closely with the Global Talent Development Lead and partners across HR, Learning Academies, HR Technology, and external vendors, you'll build a learning experience that employees worldwide genuinely feel — consistent, engaging, and built for impact.

 

In your future role as Senior Global Learning & Development Expert you will

 

Learning Strategy and Execution

  • Contribute to and coordinate the global L&D strategy aligned with People Capability and business priorities
  • Partner with functional academies to improve learning quality and experience
  • Ensure development actions translate into real capability growth

 

Learning Governance and LMS

  • Own and enhance LMS governance with HR Tech and academy leads
  • Maintain accurate, relevant, and well-structured learning content
  • Track participation, completion, and KPIs to guide investment decisions

 

Supporting the Talent and People Capability Strategy

  • Translate insights from People Capability Reviews and succession planning into targeted learning solutions
  • Address identified capability gaps through timely and relevant programs
  • Stay closely connected to HRBPs and business needs

 

Generic Skills Offerings

  • Support design and delivery of global learning initiatives building core skills
  • Coordinate logistics, content curation, and administration
  • Ensure programmers are scalable, accessible, and aligned with business needs

 

Leadership Development

  • Support design, delivery, and continuous improvement of leadership programs
  • Align content with strategic priorities and leadership expectations
  • Provide hands-on support to participants and stakeholders

 

Process Improvement

  • Evaluate and improve talent development processes
  • Gather feedback, data, and insights on effectiveness
  • Recommend improvements to enhance usability and impact

 

Global Consistency

  • Promote consistent talent development practices across regions
  • Support adherence to global standards while enabling local adaptation
  • Help build a unified approach to capability development

 

Tactical Execution

  • Execute L&D and talent initiatives with a hands-on approach
  • Ensure high-quality and timely delivery
  • Support HRBPs and leaders in applying development processes in practice

 

We believe you bring

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, HR, Business Administration or related field
  • Strong experience in learning & development within a multinational environment, including LMS governance and program execution
  • Solid experience working with digital HR tools and learning management systems
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to work across all organizational levels
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills, with a focus on execution and results  
  • Fluent English

 

Great if you have

 

  • Master’s degree or professional certification in L&D, Talent Management or HR (e.g. CPTD, CIPD)
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Learning
  • Exposure to Talent Review / People Capability processes
