About the job:

 

The Cleaning Goods Technical Service & Application team in Deventer is responsible for providing technical support and working on cleaning performance technologies and formulations for our customers and distributors across EMEA region.

 

In your future role as Researcher you will:

  • Set-up, plan, execute, analyse, interpret and report experiments.
  • Stay current with relevant research methods, document key learnings, and help ensure the team remains up to date.
  • Participates in projects and ensure executing and delivery using own area of expertise.
  • Understands, develops and comments on technical strategy in own area
  • Prepares and presents information for customer activities as appropriate
  • Maintain a safe and orderly lab environment, ensuring minimal safety incidents.
  • Execute formulation and technical lab work for ADW and Laundry projects, and guide technicians in experiment execution.
  • Document experimental results clearly through lab notebooks, meeting notes, and regular summaries.

 

We believe you bring:

  • Master’s/ bachelor’s degree in chemistry / chemical technology.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the cleaning industry.
  • Experience in home care product formulation.
  • Experience in hard surface cleaning is a plus.
  • Foundational knowledge of organic chemistry, strong analytical capabilities, and solid understanding of laboratory safety standards (SDS/GHS).

 

Great if you have:

  • Solid knowledge of surfactants and key formulation ingredients.
  • Understanding of how these ingredients affect cleaning performance, foam profile, and product stability.
  • Experience with electronic lab notebooks (ELN) or LIMS.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Good to Know

This is a permanent full-time position based in Deventer, with travel being a required and integral part of the role, ranging from 10% to 15%. We have already identified the preferred candidate for the role.
