At Nouryon, our global team works every day to develop and improve—both as a group and as individuals. We create innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers to meet society’s needs, today and in the future.
We are looking for someone with a background in the chemical industry and experience from similar roles. With us, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced and exciting chemistry in an international environment with a broad range of competencies. You will be part of a setting where you can grow long-term, deepen your expertise, and continue learning through close collaboration with experienced colleagues. Does this sound like you?

About the role

As a Senior Regulatory Manager with us, you play an important role in enabling business success and innovation. You support the business goals of your assigned Business Line by providing qualified regulatory advice, managing substance registrations, and working closely with our R&D teams. You proactively monitor regulatory changes and trends and translate complex regulations into clear insights and actionable recommendations for the business. By assessing business impact and communicating implications in a clear and pedagogical way, you contribute to well‑informed decision-making and help ensure that Nouryon stays ahead in an evolving regulatory landscape.

In your future role as Senior Regulatory Manager, you will:

  • Contribute to ensuring product compliance with a focus on our region
  • Monitor and interpret existing and developing chemical regulations and assess their impact on the business in order to provide proactive and timely advice
  • Be responsible for facilitating registration and notification processes at a regional level in a timely and cost-efficient manner
  • Be responsible for performing regulatory reviews at a regional level and providing regulatory documentation to support business needs
  • Provide regulatory advice for the development and launch of new offerings in applicable regional markets

We believe you have:

  • A Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Strong general chemical knowledge
  • Solid experience from similar roles within R&D / HSE in, for example, the process industry, refinery, or life sciences
  • Previous experience with substance registrations and regulatory advisory work
  • Knowledge of regulations, primarily within the EU such as REACH, CLP, and BPR; familiarity with others such as TSCA is an advantage
  • Previous experience working with SAP/EHS

We believe you are a structured and detail-oriented person with strong communication skills and high integrity. You are confident in an advisory role and have the ability to translate complex information into clear and relevant messages for different target groups. As a perceptive, patient, and collaborative team player, you listen to business needs while confidently balancing them against regulatory requirements. You have a holistic perspective and strong business understanding, and you work proactively to build relationships and drive matters forward in complex, cross-functional environments.

We offer you:

The opportunity to join a team characterized by openness, warmth, and strong team spirit. We support each other, drive our work forward together, and take pride in the quality of what we deliver. Together, we create a work environment where both people and results matter.
At Nouryon, we offer not only an exciting role and great colleagues, but also benefits in addition to your salary. Nouryon is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with IKEM and also offers benefits such as bonus programs, reduced working hours, wellness allowance, and meal benefits.
