About the job

 

Join our Augusta manufacturing team where you'll play a critical role in safely operating our chemical production processes while helping ensure quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This position offers a unique combination of control room operations and hands-on field work in a highly collaborative environment.

 

In your future role as Chemical Operator, you will

 

  • Safely operate and monitor chemical production processes using DeltaV and field equipment while following established operating procedures.
  • Perform process monitoring, sampling, laboratory testing, inspections, and equipment operation to ensure safe and efficient production.
  • Troubleshoot process issues, participate in Root Cause Analysis, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct autonomous maintenance, 5S activities, and support plant reliability and asset integrity.
  • Record production, quality, and operational data while ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Shipping, and HSE teams to maintain safe and reliable plant operations.

 

 

We believe you bring

 

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong experience operating equipment in a chemical or process manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working safely in a Process Safety Management (PSM) manufacturing environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting production processes and participating in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating DuPont shift schedule.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluent English and basic computer proficiency.



Great if you have

 

  • Experience using DeltaV distributed control systems.
  • Working knowledge of SAP R/3 and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with control room operations.
  • Experience performing basic laboratory testing and continuous improvement activities.
