About the job:
The Maintenance Manager is accountable for planning, directing and controlling the work of the Maintenance Department to support and maintain production departments and infrastructure at the Green Bay – Howard sites commensurate with good engineering practices and in-line with company policies and procedures. Key member of the site leadership team.
In your future role as a Maintenance Manager, you will:
- Lead the site maintenance function, ensuring effective asset maintenance, reliability, and operational performance.
- Manage and oversee contractors, ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Partner with engineering teams to develop, implement, and sustain equipment reliability and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance projects, delivering safe, timely, and cost-effective results.
- Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve equipment failures and prevent recurrence.
- Serve as the primary approver for high-risk permit activities, ensuring strict adherence to site safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and productivity initiatives across maintenance operations to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Actively participate in Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) programs, initiatives, audits, and site improvement activities.
- Support the implementation of site operating policies, HSSE goals, environmental compliance requirements, and waste management practices within your area of responsibility.
- Identify and manage potential health, safety, security, and environmental risks, ensuring appropriate controls are in place to minimize impact.
- Contribute to cross-functional teams, committees, and site projects that promote operational excellence and a strong safety culture.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Site Manager.
We believe you bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant plant experience, or a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering, maintenance, plant operations, or a related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of industrial utility systems, including steam, compressed air, cooling towers, chillers, and HVAC systems.
- Experience managing facilities, utilities, service contractors, and general site infrastructure.
- At least 5 years of experience working within a PSM/RMP-regulated environment.
- Proven leadership experience with a minimum of 3 years leading maintenance, operations, or technical teams.
- Experience managing maintenance projects and CAPEX budgets.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes, particularly ASME B31.3.
- Proficiency with SAP, CMMS platforms, and standard PC applications.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma and DMAIC.
- Experience using Enablon, EPI-MES, or similar operational and compliance systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and wear required personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hats, and respirators as needed.
- A demonstrated commitment to safety, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and team development.

- This is a full-time on-site position located in Green Bay, WI.
- This position reports directly into the Site Manager.
