Global Supply Planner – Solution & Biopolymer

In your future role as Supply Planner- SBP, you will

 

Play a crucial role in driving the monthly IBP process, aligning demand and capacity scenarios with planning strategies.  You will collaborate with cross-functional teams with the objective of meeting customer demand while balancing service, cash and cost.

 

Supply Planner – Solution & Biopolymer

 

Monthly Supply Plan Management:

  • Work collaboratively to ensure key assumptions on anticipated production capabilities are reflected within the forecasts (production or demand forecasts)
  • Manage appropriate planning parameters with the planning, logistics, operations and commercial teams
  • Manage maintenance of planning parameters in accordance with master data governance and best practices
  • Maintain master data to support:
    • The execution of the most effective global sourcing plan
    • Safety stock targets and production lead times
    • New product introductions/discontinuation
    • Visibility to product availability
  • Drive execution of a time-phased supply schedule to fulfil business requirements in the short-term

 

Inventory Management:

  • Manage/optimize inventory for global product line and safety stocks within each region
  • Drive inventory segmentation, stocking policies and maintain supporting master data
  • Routinely check and track inventory quality, i.e. slow moving or blocked stock and ensure the quantity is sufficient to meet the plan

 

 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Propose tools and structures for the improvement of the planning function and, after consultation the IBP Manager, implements these structures.
  • Manage specific Supply Chain projects to meet budget requirements, project timelines, goals, business objectives etc.
  • Actively drive to improve planning/scheduling related activities in the plant, such as process change-over reduction, inventory reduction/levelling, reduced scheduling effort, increased production efficiency, labor load levelling, accurate delivery date quotes, and provision of real time information to customer service and the plant

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Maintain a strong relationship with the production facility to ensure conformance to schedule
  • Maintain strong relationship with Demand and Supply Managers to fully integrate with Finance and Accounting
  • Coordinate the execution of the supply plan with cross-functional teams (operations, procurement, sales, customer service and logistics), effectively managing any exceptions in demand and supply

 

The position is based in Houston, TX and will require periodic regional travel. Approximately 10% of your working time will be for regional travel.

 

We believe you bring…

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of SAP
  • 3+ years of relevant working experience in supply chain, logistics preferred
  • 1+ years in Chemical manufacturing preferred
  • Very good English communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Demonstrable capability to analyse data (including mass cross-reference data validation, trending and forecasting)
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP is preferred, Six Sigma preferred
  • Proficiency in data analysis, KPI monitoring, and utilization of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean.
