Nouryon - has an outstanding opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager for Industrial Specialties in Chicago, IL.
·Leads a team of Account Managers and Technical support to deliver business growth. This team positions and sells product to the customers, primarily in the following end markets: Oilfield, Organoclay and Lubes & Fuels in North America
·Accountable for the short- and long-term sales and profitability that are in line with annual budgets and strategic growth plans
·Review, implement and ensure execution of the sales strategy for the region in alignment with the global strategy for the business line including R&D project portfolio and Global Tech Support
·Manages the customer base which includes both regular accounts, existing large strategic and named key accounts, and accounts with high potential for future business
·Consolidates the regional demand and feed the IBP and DMR process to make sure both short and long-term product demand for the region is met
·Comply and Act as role model for Nouryon Safety and Code of Conduct values business principles and standards both inside and outside Nouryon.
·Sales owns the customer relationship. Improve customer intimacy, develop key accounts and optimize channels to the market.
·Review, update and execute Segments Marketing and Strategic plan based on the regional market conditions and customer needs
·Lead the commercial team to achieve top and bottom-line business segments growth
·Deliver LV & Budget for the region accurately and on a timely manner
·Collect and communicate up to date market trends and competitive information
·Act as a key interface with Marketing and R&D for product and application development and product life cycle analysis
·Provide monthly input to Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Demand and Supply Reviews (DSR).
·Identify and establish relationships at strategic level with appointed Key Accounts in the segments
·Lead the translation of new ideas into concepts and plans to fulfill new customer needs and give input for new product development and validate value creation at customer
·Develop, lead and guide regionalized market segment strategies and customer value propositions for a product portfolio/segment.
·Communicate clearly segment/customer needs to ensure input/information gathered is translated into winning value propositions.
·Launch of new products and value propositions to the North America market.
·Transform insights and opportunities from the market, competition, regulatory changes, industry trends and detailed understanding of the value chain into ideas, concepts, plans and actions and portfolio changes.
·Facilitate segment communication by regularly participating segment meetings or global calls.
·Act as a role model and drive a safe behavior both individually and for colleagues
·Improve cash flow but improved forecast accuracy and reduced forecast bias as well as reducing overdues.
·Make sure NA team forecast sales opportunities according to growth targets using Nouryon´s CRM tool
-Technical Bachelor of Science
-Preferred Master of Science or MBA / Marketing Education
-5-10 years of experience as senior manager, preferably in commercial roles and strong in performance management
-Experience in relevant industries
-Fluency in English required
-Comfortable working across regional and global cultures
-Communication and interpersonal skills, listening, writing, verbal, influencing, entrepreneurship, result oriented, negotiation, proven problem-solving abilities and strong business acumen
