Regional TMS and process excellence specialist

The TMS Specialist is responsible for ownership of the TMS throughout the region including data analytics and insights, training, capabilities enhancement, and master data management;
The Process Excellence Specialist is responsible for process ownership, analyzing logistics process performance, and identifying improvement opportunities related to logistics operations activities in support of business objectives and priorities;
The specialist need managed/led implementations of TMS systems, as well as facilitated development of process flows, and delivered training programs


TMS Specialist
•    Analyze TMS data throughout the region to develop insights leading to improvements in route efficiency and customer service as well as decreased operational costs
•    Analyze and review performance of regional logistics providers
•    Develop metrics reporting / dashboards and track metrics and trends
•    Summarize analytical findings and prepare reports detailing analysis and insights for the regional Logistics Leader and users 
•    Support in identifying potential solutions to address analytical findings
•    Coordinate with TMS provider to implement system changes and capabilities enhancements
•    Develop and conduct TMS training
•    Manage master data and business rules within the TMS
•    Lead and model Nouryon Values to include driving code of conduct compliance at all times


Process Excellence Specialist
•    Identify opportunities and drive implementation of continuous process improvement and cost reduction measures to drive operational efficiency and service level improvement
•    Own and manage the end to end modal processes
•    Conduct critical assessments of current processes to identify root causes of waste or challenges and develop solutions to implement improvements
•    Develop or update process maps and conduct value stream mapping to support improvement initiatives
•    Develop and manage improvement initiative project plans
•    Collect and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas of opportunity, establish baselines, and track improvements
•    Assess progress of implemented changes to ensure sustainability of improvement
•    Report improvement project plans and status to leadership on an ongoing basis
•    Engage with relevant Hub and modal leaders for support in the identification and execution of improvement initiatives and to share best practices
•    Facilitate Kaizen events and other collaborative continuous improvement workshops


Job Requirements
•    Minimum 15 years continuous improvement experience within logistics / supply chain, 8 years TMS analytics experience within logistics / supply chain. Experience with chemical companies is preferred 
•    Strong analytical skills and abilities
•    Effective data visualization abilities
•    Ability to use data to support decision making and develop solutions to present to leaders
•    Outstanding communication skills and ability to communicate with various levels and functions within the organization, including global team members
•    Strong understanding of the transport market across multiple modes
•    Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
•    Strong working knowledge and history of using computers and programs specific to logistics (SAP, TMS, WMS), data visualizations (Tableau, PowerBI), and to general business management (MS Excel, Word)
•    Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Operations Research, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field from 4-year accredited college or university
