We have an opening in the Agriculture and Food business segment for a chemist to help us realize our ambitions in agriculture. We provide formulation aids and performance additives to the agrochemical market. Our goal is to provide innovative and sustainable solutions to our customers through our surfactant knowledge and formulation experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative chemist, with experience in Agrochemicals, who loves a challenge and has a passion for problem solving.  

 

Nouryon has an outstanding opportunity for a Scientist position, in Bridgewater, NJ.  

 

 

Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities: 

The successful candidate will join the Agriculture and Food business of Nouryon and be responsible for the formulation, development, and evaluation of surfactants and polymers for agricultural applications:

 

  • Initiation and development of innovative solutions to address customer needs and market trends.
  • Project leadership from inception to commercialization.
  • Establishment of technical relationships with customers.
  • Identification of market trends and new opportunities.
  • Familiarity with, and analysis of, competitor activities and technologies.
  • Market and Manufacturing support for new and existing products.
  • Commitment to safety.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and communication skills (written and presentation). 
  • Successful candidate will interface internally with the marketing, technical service, and manufacturing groups, and externally with customers to fulfill product needs within the targeted Agricultural market.  

 

Job Requirements:

    • PhD in Chemistry, Surfactant Science, or related field
    • Five years of experience in agrochemical product design, formulation, and development
    • Skilled in the use of surfactants and formulation development.
    • Establishment of technical relationships with customers.
    • Proven problem-solving skills.
    • Must enjoy hands-on laboratory bench work.
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the technical and business networks.
