The Role
Nouryon Home and Personal Care is looking for an experienced individual to fill the Polymers & Starches Product Manager position.  Successful execution of this role requires thorough understanding of our product portfolio, our innovation strategy, our footprint and supply chain, while executing business development activities to fill our assets to capacity.


The preferred locations for this role are Radnor, PA or Houston, TX.



Your responsibilities

  • Maximize EBITDA and minimize the working capital for the Polymers and Starches product lines

  • Define the asset strategy for Salisbury, NC and Chattanooga, TN for the polymers product portfolio

  • Define the product strategy for the starches product portfolio

  • Set global floor prices for polymers product portfolio

  • Develop programs and promotions that strengthen the asset utilization of the assets

  • Reduce complexity by continuously evaluating product wheel and package types offered

  • Partner with supply chain to ensure reliable supply, asset capacity, and appropriate inventory

  • Manage product allocations in period of demand greater than supply

  • Identify internal and external options to augment supply chain

  • Manage relationship with supplying channel partner for Starches

  • Set capex priorities and approve capacity investment decisions

  • Partner with R&D to develop product line extensions and minor product modifications

  • Identify new customer needs and provide input for new product development

  • Keep current with market trends, competition, and regulatory trends

  • Ensure selling tools are up to date and available

  • Active member of the Global Product Management team

 

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Business is required

  • An MBA or Master’s education is preferred

  • 5 years of relevant Commercial, Marketing, Product Management, or Finance experience 

  • Experience with SAP

  • Written and spoken fluency in English required

  • Comfortable in working across global cultures

  • Strong focus on internal and external customers

  • Communication and interpersonal skills, listening, writing, verbal, influencing

  • Business acumen, result oriented, and problem solving abilities

  • Project management capabilities and skills

  • Up to 10% travel
