Nouryon drives community communications by Open to Public Day

In summer 2021, Nouryon China sites held their annual Open to the Public Day events by inviting Nouryon employees and their families, showcasing chemical innovations and maintaining transparent communications with local communities.

Between July and September 2021, the Nouryon Taixing, Jiaxing, Ningbo and Guangzhou sites successively held their annual Open to the Public Day events by inviting Nouryon employees and their families under the theme “Together for Sustainability and Carbon Neutrality”. This was the first time the Nouryon Jiaxing site held the event since joining Nouryon in 2019. The Nouryon China team was recognized with the 2021 Open to Public Day (OTP) Best Practice Award from AICM (International Association of Chemical Manufacturers) at the AICM OTP closing ceremony on December 9.

A total of more than 300 Nouryon employees and their family members participated in the Nouryon site OTP events. The activities included a sustainable solution sharing session, site visits, programs on carbon neutrality education, such as “energy saving at home” competition, "green factory" themed painting, kids classes and lab experiments with “magical” carbon dioxide. The events showcased activities intended for a meaningful and fun summer vacation with employees and their families.

Led by AICM every year in China, more than 20 multinational chemical companies in China joined OTP 2021. Nouryon production sites in China have participated in OTP for more than 10 years, showcasing chemical innovations and maintaining transparent communications with local communities.
