International Commerce Specialist

 

Coordinate the importation and exportation of hazardous shipments, complying with the requirements established by the country's customs legislation to ensure the delivery of goods to destination in a timely manner. 

In your future role as International Commerce Specialist, you will

  

  • Responsible for the custom clearance business (hazardous products), co-operate with Logistics Service Suppliers and Custom Broker to make sure all the shipments under the efficiency and correct process.
    • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
    • Track and trace shipments as required.
    • Utilize Process Monitors and Workflows on daily basis.
    • Ensure timely movement and delivery of freight.
    • Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes.
    • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing to comply with export process.
  • Have good knowledge about hazardous products and their requirements into logistics world.
  • Has the successful experience to resolve some issues with customs.
  • Support process improvement efforts as directed by the International Commerce Leader
  • Lead and model Nouryon Values to include driving code of conduct compliance at all times
  • Dependent on the volume of shipments, the Logistics Specialist may be assigned tasks to support other modes than the assigned main mode as well.
  • Support freight cost payment, management, and invoicing
  • Maintain relationships with logistics providers and support Regional Logistics Team Lead in conducting performance reviews
  • Identify frequency and cause of service failures and work with Regional Logistics Team Lead to develop plans to identify solutions

 

 

 

We believe you bring

 

  • Bachelor's Degree required, international trade and logistics, or similar background as educational degree.
  • Current Hazardous Training Certification
  • 3-5 years of Imports and export process and regulation trade experience.
  • Knowledge of the hazardous products.
  • International trade compliance knowledge such as FDA, IMMEX, , International Laws, Customs Laws.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in Spanish and English required.
  • Open minded for cultural diversity
  • Strong computer skills with ability to use spreadsheets, databases, ERP and CRM systems, presentation, and word processing software.
  • Ambition to grow within the organization.
