Job Purpose.

Support PVC polymerization R&D activities by conducting laboratory experiments, performing routine analysis, and assisting in process optimization, while ensuring safe and compliant operations.

Reports to: Lab leader

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct PVC polymerization experiments according to established procedures and work instructions.
  • Explore both conventional and new PVC polymerization processes under guidance from senior staff.
  • Perform basic data processing and summarize experimental results in clear records and simple reports.
  • Carry out polymer characterization using standard analytical instruments (e.g., particle size, K‑value, thermal properties) following defined methods.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure good housekeeping and sample management.
  • Follow all laboratory safety procedures and company EHS requirements, and actively report and address unsafe conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in the lab and support internal R&D projects as assigned.
  • Provide technical support for customer-related tests and sample preparation under supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 1–3 years of experience in polymer synthesis or related laboratory work (outstanding fresh graduates may be considered).
  • Basic understanding of polymerization principles; experience with suspension polymerization or PVC is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with common polymer characterization techniques is preferred.
  • Ability to use English in daily work (reading procedures, basic documentation, and communication).
  • Strong safety awareness, attention to detail, and willingness to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Good teamwork spirit, communication skills, and openness to learning in a multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical experience in PVC or other vinyl polymerization systems.
  • Experience in process trial support, data recording, and basic troubleshooting in a lab environment.
  • Familiarity with technical documentation (test reports, lab notebooks, basic summaries).
