About the job

Operate the daily product loading and raw material/chemical unloading facilities in the plant in a manner that will protect personnel and the environment and meet the production and quality objectives of the Production Department. 

In your future role as Loading Technician I you will

• Load hopper cars with sodium chlorate crystal.  Load tank cars or tank trucks with sodium chlorate solution.  Fill and move with a forklift sodium chlorate big bag as needed. Unload salt rail cars or salt trucks, unload hydrochloric acid and unload sodium hydroxide.
• Inspect product equipment returned empty for off standard or irregular conditions and communicates any significant problems, such as damage or excessive amount of returned product to the Distribution/Loading Supervisor.
• Participate in and/or execute activities pertaining to the production and loading areas during the work shift as necessary to maintain overall Production Department objectives and requirements.
• Assist the Chief Technician in documenting and communicating critical information relative to loading operations.  This may include such items as logbook entries, loading reports, and informative shift changes or meetings.
• Perform periodic field checks of equipment and processes as required or as needed to ensure proper loading operations and to help avoid equipment damage, and unsafe or undesirable situations.

We believe you bring

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience 

Great if you have 

• Experience working in the rail or railway industry.  

The hiring salary range for this position is $25.09/Hr. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role as well as the individuals’ qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications.
