On April 5, Nouryon executives and employees, along with representatives from the village of Howard and the state of Wisconsin, broke ground for Nouryon’s new world-scale polymerization plant in Wisconsin, US.

Announcing the launch of Expancel® WB microspheres, an innovation in expandable microspheres for white shoe sole applications in the clothing and apparel industry at the 2024 Chinaplas exhibition in Shanghai, China. Nouryon plans to increase production capacity of its Expancel® expandable microspheres in China. The increase will result from the relocation of its production site from Suzhou to Ningbo, China, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021, and will further strengthen the company’s leading global position in expandable microspheres.

Expancel microspheres are used as a blowing agent in plastisols, for underbody coatings and sealants and for lightweight body fillers with improved sandability.
