Our Eka® HP also increases recycling efficiency of the metals from spent batteries by functioning as a reducing agent when leaching black mass of different battery chemistries.

Levasil® GB – colloidal silica for lead-acid batteries

Levasil® colloidal silica is an extremely cost-efficient and easy-to-use option for gelling sulfuric acid to obtain a solid electrolyte (gel cell) in valve-regulated, lead-acid (VRLA) batteries and for reducing the acid stratification in absorbed glass mat (AGM) batteries.

Gelling is the process by which a liquid becomes viscous and eventually a solid. With our Levasil® GB product portfolio we can offer consistent quality together with low levels of impurities and chlorides. Vital for high performance batteries that last longer.
