Business Developer DACH and BeNeLux - Personal Care

About the job

As Business Developer you will deliver the short- and long-term sales and profitability targets for Personal Care and markets in the assigned territory that are in line with annual budgets and strategic growth plans. You will manage the direct contact with customers and distributors in the field, representing Nouryon in a professional manner. This role contributes to the realization of the Personal Care strategy in the DACH/BeNeLux market, as well as targeted customers and distributors.

In your future role as Business Developer you will

  • Assess and understand the market needs, development, trends. To include changes in the customer base, competition, Personal Care applications, solutions, and products in the market
  • Develop, maintain, manage, and ensure realization of sales for the assigned accounts.
  • Identify, assess, and develop potential new accounts.
  • Achieve annual sales results and business growth versus an annual plan from the established customer base and identified new accounts.
  • Define opportunities for new business as part of detailed account planning and sales forecasting.
  • Establish and build senior-level relationships with key decision makers and buyers.
  • Understand and assess customers’ needs, business objectives, strategies and build compelling customer value propositions representing our portfolio and offering.
  • Serve as a lead contracts negotiator on commercial terms.
  • Serve as the central resource for communications with the customer on new product developments in the Nouryon portfolio.

We believe you bring

  • A Bachelor or Master’s Chemistry, Engineering, Biology and/or BBA/MBA
  • At least 5 years working experience in a similar sales role within manufacturing
  • Fluency in English and German, both verbal and in writing (Dutch would be a +).
  • Experience in the chemical industry is preferred
  • Very strong experience in networking and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers

Good to know

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, based in Germany or The Netherlands with a travel component of around 30/50%.
