About the job:


Are you a commercial professional with 2-5 years of demonstrable experience in B2B sales within the specialty chemicals industry? Do you possess extensive knowledge of food ingredient applications, including CMC (Carboxymethyl Cellulose), rheologic modifiers, food emulsifiers, EDTA food chelating agents? If so, we are looking for you. Join our team to manage and expand our Food Inert Ingredients segment, taking ownership of both existing and new accounts in North America.


In your future role as an Account Manager, you will be responsible for:


1. Commercial strategy & development:

  • Develop and implement the business strategy for Key and Regional Accounts in North America, aligned with global directives.
  • Identify and capitalize on business growth opportunities in the Food Inert Ingredients segment.

2. Customer engagement:

  • Maintain direct contact with customers, representing Nouryon’s expertise in food ingredient applications.
  • Manage and grow national and multinational accounts, taking ownership of account strategy, contracts, and execution.

3. Market analysis:

  • Support the mapping of demand, competitors, and opportunities for Nouryon’s Food Inert Ingredients products.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and customer needs.

4. Technical support:

  • Provide technical guidance on the application of food inert products to North American customers, US, Canada, Mexico, and Central America.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to address customer requirements and enhance product offerings.

5. Team collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead regional initiatives to expand production capacity and enhance product availability through various channels.



We believe you bring:


  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant sales experience in a global B2B environment, preferably in specialty in food ingredients.
  • Extensive knowledge of food ingredient applications, including CMC, rheologic modifiers, food emulsifiers and food chelating agents.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM, SAP, and MS Office.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written; additional knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow accounts, with strong strategic and execution skills.
  • Self-motivated, confident, energetic, and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Good to know:


This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Sales Manager and is remote with a 50% requirement.
