We are looking for a HR Business Partner for our Commercial/Corp Functions in North Asia, based in China/Shanghai office.

 

In your role you will

  • Coach and collaborate with executives and business/functional leaders to resolve business challenges.
  • Coach and partner with employees, leadership and management teams on a day-to-day basis to embed a high-performance culture, focusing on leadership and driving ownership/accountability.
  • Manage activities in areas of responsibility including performance and talent management, succession planning, staffing including on-boarding and terminations as well as participating in hiring when needed;
  • Provide guidance and/or develop input on operational and tactical workforce planning and organization capability.
  • Guide leaders at all levels on people matters such as total rewards, labor relations and employment law, strategic workforce planning and organizational strategies, people capabilities, and talent retention.
  • Deliver on HR policies, processes and practices focusing on continuous improvement and improved execution. Perform global HR tasks which require local support.
  • Execute hands-on operational tasks when needed and make sure to independently drive and implement decisions using available resources.

Education & experience:

 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum 10+ years generalist experience preferably to include experience as a specialist in several of the HR disciplines
  • Experience in a chemical and/or process industry and with supporting commercial organization is preferred.
  • Knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including engagement, employee relations, labor relations, compensation, organizational design, workforce planning, career development and training, performance management and employee engagement
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, analytical skills and project management
  • Able to work in a matrix environment, building effective relationships with management and functions in a multi-cultural environment
  • Team player who constantly has the team performance in mind and can see how different parts of HR should work together to improve the quality and customer experience and raise the total performance of HR.
  • Excellent in building trusted partnership with leadership and colleagues in and outside of HR
  • Experience operating as business partner for a dynamic, growing organization.
