We are looking for a Senior SAP Basis Administrator (Technical Application Manager) who brings deep technical expertise in SAP architecture, cloud technologies, and a proactive mindset to join our team in Mumbai. Does that sound like you?

About the job

As a Senior SAP Basis Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing technological applications. You will serve as an essential link between technology and business processes, ensuring operational efficiency.

In your future role as Senior SAP Basis Administrator (TAM) you will:

• Lead System Installation and Configuration: Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrading of SAP systems, including SAP HANA, NetWeaver, and Solution Manager.
• Drive System Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to identify issues and optimize configurations for better results.
• Ensure System Security: Maintain security measures such as user authentication, authorization, and SSO, while managing vulnerability remediation and SOX compliance.
• Manage Backups and Disaster Recovery: Plan backup strategies and execute disaster recovery testing to minimize system downtime.
• Collaborate on Projects: Support system upgrades, migrations, and project handovers, acting as a template gatekeeper to enforce global processes.
• Act as Problem Manager: Strive to structurally resolve recurring incidents and optimize applications through continuous improvement.

We believe you bring

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• Experience: Over 8 years of experience in L2/L3 Basis administration and more than 5 years of technical support experience in SQL databases.
• System Knowledge: Strong understanding of SQL Server DB, HANA High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and extensive OS-level knowledge (Windows Server, RHEL, AIX).
• Cloud Expertise: Proven expertise in cloud technologies (SAP RISE & Azure) and SAP architecture (ECC 6.0, S4HANA, BW, etc.).
• Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with professional proficiency in English.

Great if you have:

• Certifications in ITIL, PMP, or Agile.
• Familiarity with the manufacturing/process industry and best-practice solutions in shared solution spaces.
• Wintel knowledge.
