About the job:

 

In this role, you will be responsible for expanding Nouryon’s presence among Tier 2–3 Cleaning industry customers by leveraging a strong distribution network. You will ensure profitable business is maintained while achieving growth objectives with defined key distribution accounts. This includes overseeing regional cleaning distribution relationships, managing day-to-day operations, and developing a targeted growth strategy. Key activities involve identifying and managing new leads, driving innovation, and supporting product development to strengthen our market position.

 

In your future role as a Distribution Account Manager, you will:

 

  • Prepare a budget and forecast to be approved by sales manager, aligned with regional and segment financial targets
  • Drive Sales and Profitability of Assigned accounts and deliver short and long term financial and strategic goals
  • Provide accurate forecasts by material, deliver monthly volumes and report results monthly to the sales manager
  • Maintain and develop business relationships with select end customers in conjunction with the distributor. Develop account plans for distributors and strategic end customers.
  • Ensure distributors effectively represent Nouryon's products, meet sales targets, and maintain product knowledge.
  • Develop a pipeline of growth opportunities to fulfil short- and long-term objectives reported via CRM.
  • Build relationships with regional district managers at select distributors; Elevate executive relationships between Nouryon and Distributor key stake holders.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements as needed 
  • Follow up on payment terms, rebate agreements and overdues
  • Keep track of the market/competitors  
  • Develop and leverage the relationships with corporate distribution team to meet HPC and Nouryon distribution strategy

 

We believe you bring:

 

  • Bachelors or Masters in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Biology, Formulation Science, etc.
  • >10 years of experience in sales or technical service with demonstrated relationships and ability to translate and leverage the knowledge and relationship into opportunity development and sales growth. Experience in the cleaning industry is a plus
  • Financial acumen - ability to interpret and analyze key financial data relevant to territory and strategic goals
  • Strong Communication Skills, and ability to develop and present relevant material to internal and external audiences- Strong team player
  • Ability to deploy forecasting and sales tracking tools 

 

Good to know:
 

  • This is a full-time remote-based position, reporting directly to the Sales Manager of Cleaning.
  • This position requires about 50% travel.

 

Compensation Information

 

  • The hiring salary range for this position ranges from $109,200 to $156,000, although individuals may eventually progress through the pay scale in this role up to $179,400. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role as well as the individuals’ qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications. Hired applicants will be eligible to receive annual bonuses.
  • Employees (and their families) will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are also eligible to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive paid time off and the mandated company holidays throughout the calendar year.
