Thioplast EPS70, Liquid polysulfide polymer with epoxy end groups, CAS 117527-71-6, Polysulfide, Nouryon's fast-curing epoxy-terminated polysulfide polymer. Thanks to the aromatic end-groups, this grade is curing quickly, even at room temperature. As the other Thioplast® EPS grades, this grade combines the excellent properties of polysulfides with the most desirable features of epoxy-resin systems to yield: excellent primerless adhesion to many surfaces (e.g. steel, aluminum or concrete), high impact resistance, even at low temperatures, high thermo cycling stability, chemical resistance to oil, fuels, dilute acids, alkalis, solvents and sea water, very high flexibility, good weathering properties and corrosion protection.
Thioplast® EPS can either be used alone or in combination with conventional epoxy resins to produce high-performance heavy-duty adhesives and coatings. Manufacturers from the automotive, marine or chemical industries rely on Thioplast® EPS grades.

Thioplast EPS35, Liquid polysulfide polymer with epoxy end groups, CAS 2495231-87-1, Polysulfide, Thioplast® EPS35 is a purely aliphatic epoxy-terminated polysulfide polymer. This worldwide unique product is used in combination with conventional epoxy resins to manufacture high-performance heavy-duty adhesives and coatings featuring excellent primerless adhesion, low-temperature impact and crack resistance, improved chemical resistance and anti-corrosion properties.
60 years ago, the production of a unique product - Thioplast® polysulfides - started in Greiz, Germany. This product is characterized by sulfur-sulfur bonds, were originally introduced in 1963 . Over the decades, demand grew significantly due to its exceptional performance in extreme environments, and the product quickly developed into an indispensable ingredient in a wide range of applications for industries such as construction, automotive, aerospace, marine, and energy. - [Sept 2023]
Nouryon, a global specialty chemicals leader, has introduced Thioplast EPS 35, an innovative solution that enables high-performance coatings and adhesives to withstand harsh environments in the construction, automotive, aerospace, marine, and energy industries.
Explore our Thioplast® polysulfides products, Expancel® microspheres and Levasil® colloidal silica for improved performance in sealants and adhesives such as flexibility and strength.
Levasil® colloidal silica can produce durable metal coatings that shield steel and prevent corrosion and reduce magnetic losses in insulation coatings.
