Leading people and process safety
As a responsible operator and reliable supplier, we put safety first. Our goal is to sustain responsible operations by continuously improving our performance, with the ambition to reach zero injuries and harm focusing people safety, process safety and product safety. We continue to pursue improvements in our safety performance, for example, by focusing on leading indicators, emphasizing hazard recognition, and improving incident learning. In 2022, we reduced our OSHA incident rate by 12% and reduced our process safety incident rate by 79% and was recognized with a number of safety related awards.
We are also committed to reducing our carbon footprint and energy consumption. We do this by increasing operational efficiency and increasing the sourcing of renewable energy. 98% of our manufacturing sites have certified Environmental Management Systems (EMS), e.g., ISO 14001 or RC 14001 equivalent.
