Sr. Accountant, Consolidation & Financial Reporting

 

Nouryon is seeking an Senior Accountant to join our growing company, who will be responsible for driving the monthly consolidation process for all Nouryon companies, as well as supporting the financial reporting of the company. You will work cross functionally and collaborate with key business partners (FP&A, Financial Reporting, regional accounting teams, IT, Tax, legal, operations, etc.) to achieve departmental and company goals.

This role will report to the Head of Consolidations and be part of the broader team responsible for consolidations, technical accounting and external reporting. This is a dynamic and challenging role that will provide an outstanding opportunity to directly support the company’s future vision through ensuring accurate and timely reporting. To be successful, the individual must be able to communicate effectively across the organization, creatively solve problems, and scale processes.

In your future role as a Sr. Accountant, Consolidation & Financial Reporting, you will

 

  • Oversee consolidation of our businesses across North America, Europe, Asia, and South America - ensuring financial accuracy and compliance
  • Own Key Financial Statements – Prepare the Statement of Equity and Statement of Comprehensive Income, ensuring precision and integrity
  • Ensure Proper Elimination of Intercompany Transactions – Ensure flawless eliminations across entities for a transparent financial picture
  • Drive Process Improvements & Automation – Identify efficiencies that enhance reporting accuracy and streamline operations
  • Analyze Global Results – Review the consolidate results of the business to understand trends and ensure accuracy of legal entity reporting
  • Collaborate Across Functions – Work with FP&A, Financial Reporting, IT, Tax, Legal, Operations, Treasury, and Controllership to ensure financial alignment and strategic impact
  • Optimize SAP Group Reporting – Oversee consolidation software, ensuring seamless data flow and system improvements
  • Support External Reporting & Compliance – Work closely with audit teams to guarantee adherence to SOX/internal controls and external reporting requirements

 

We believe you bring

 

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance – A strong foundation in financial principles
  • 4-6 years of accounting experience – Big-4 experience preferred, with expertise in US GAAP/IFRS
  • SAP Group Reporting & Advanced Excel – Master complex financial systems with precision
  • Exceptional Communicator – Thrive in cross-functional collaboration with clear and effective messaging
